A completed architecture simulation that used a fictional hiring platform to explore microservices behavior, trade-offs, and sufficiency.
HireFlow was a hands-on laboratory where we built a hiring platform from scratch using a microservices approach. Not to follow the hype—but to understand how these systems behave when reality hits:
- when the database goes down
- when messages arrive out of order
- when teams disagree
- when refactoring is necessary
- when complexity emerges naturally
The saga explored the facets that mattered for its architectural purpose: boundaries, data ownership, slicing strategies, resilience, orchestration, and the design forces that shape distributed systems.
This saga embraced an idea that guides the whole studio: a system reveals its truth only when we build it.
HireFlow reached its intended demonstration point at M2. It is complete because the system already said what it needed to say.
